George Washington's Birthday

Brethren ... 

Each year the George Washington Masonic Historic Site at Tappan Committee of our New York Grand Lodge marks the anniversary of the birth of our distinguished and revered Masonic Brother GEORGE WASHINGTON. Well known as our nation's first President and founding father, his Excellency George Washington set a most noble example as President, military hero, commanding general, cherished Masonic Brother and leader in our gentle craft.  This year will mark the 286 anniversary of his birth on February 22, 1732. All remember the famous tribute rendered to him at his passing ... 


You and your lady and your Masonic friends are cordially and fraternally invited to join us at our upcoming celebration of George Washington's Birthday on the grounds of the DeWint House ... the historic Washington Headquarters and Museum at Tappan, NY

Luncheon will be available with pre-paid advance reservations at the nearby

MIA CUCCINA RESTAURANT ... 135 E. Erie Street (off Route 303)

Blauvelt, NY  (opposite the Casa Mia Manor House).  Price is $25 per person, including gratuities.    

Seating will begin at 11:00 AM

Advanced paid reservation @ $25 per person required. 

No payments will be accepted at the door. 



The George Washington Birthday Celebration at George Washington Headquarters in Tappan will begin at 1:00 PM  

There is no charge for this event, however on--site parking and seating is limited. 

This year there will be a special presentation of a new play featuring

Messrs Sean Brady and Gary Petagine.  These educators and historians have visited us several time in the past and presented stirring dramas centered on the events preceding the Benedict Arnold - John Andre treason.  This play picks up on events following the Treason Trial.

Light refreshments will be served.

The Mia Cuccina Restaurant is approximately 1 mile north off exit 5 N of the Palisades Interstate Parkway ... about 20 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge. When you exit the Palisades Parkway proceed Route 303. Turn left (north) on Route 303 and go north about one mile.  Just before Erie Street there is a small shopping center on your left (the East side of Route 303) and you will see the sign for Mia Cuccina Restaurant and Pizza.
